Kou Yorway Foundation conducted an awareness campaign in March 2020 in the early days of the Corona Virus pandemic in which it distributed a consignment of buckets, tide soap, Clorox, and hand sanitizers and instructions on how to wash hands and disinfect surfaces as defense against the virus in thirteen towns in Gbannah Clan.
The civil war devastated the health sector also. Hospitals and clinics were destroyed or looted, and their personnel were either killed or left the country in fear of their lives. Many people in rural Liberia do not have access to health care because facilities are far away, or they do not have the resources to afford care. The Kou Yorway Foundation intends to build and run clinics for the benefit of its students and personnel.
